This statement is sending a message that says it is based on who you are not what kind of things you have. For example if you have a variety of things as in iPhone

or other electronics, then it is based on how you act with that. You don’t want to be rude and rub it in people’s faces stating that they don’t have it but you do. just because you have those things does not mean you are a great person because you can be a brat or someone that no one want to be with.

This statement gives away a message that says determination is all that you need. You can complete anything you want if you have determination, you need to have positive thought on your goals because anyone can do anything, no matter how insane it seems. Give it all you got and no one will say anything if you fail, because you put your hardest effort. You can also say that you never gave up.

I think this quote is trying to give the message of if you do something wrong you will always get regret. No matter what. Regret is something most people can’t handle and then that is when they get the truth out and get into trouble. For example if you take money from your mom’s purse without asking and you don’t tell her. You will feel regret because your mom is so nice but what you don’t know is that every time you ask her for money she says no because she is trying to save up money to try to buy you a new toy or something. Which means you don’t appetite when your mother buys you things. You would feel regret and then want to put the money back without your mother finding out because then you would get into trouble.

I think this quote is trying to tell me is, that you should do the right thing even though it is hard. The wrong thing is always going to be easy to do. Which means that it is up to you to do the right thing even though it takes up most of your energy. For example if you get pregnant you need to be responsible for your action, and do the right thing and take care of that baby.
