This statement is sending a message that says it is based on who you are not what kind of things you have. For example if you have a variety of things as in iPhone

or other electronics, then it is based on how you act with that. You don’t want to be rude and rub it in people’s faces stating that they don’t have it but you do. just because you have those things does not mean you are a great person because you can be a brat or someone that no one want to be with.

This quote is trying to tell me not to give up on my dreams. My dreams are to precise to give up on them. Your goals aren't goals until you reach the finish line. It doesn't matter how fast you complete the goal, it matters what the reward is. Taking your time shows that you actually want this for yourself. You want it to be perfect. You want your goal to be presentable. Showing people that you did this with maybe no one’s help, or maybe with peoples help.

This quote is about how you need to do the right thing even if it seems like the worst thing to do. for example telling the truth. it might hurt the person to hear the truth, but at the end they will see that it was better then hearing it from a friend then some one rude.
