This quote has a message that says people shouldn't give up on their dreams or goals. For example when you try out for a team and you made it in, you are not just going to stop there. You are going to train hard to get better in the sport. You can upgrade in being captain, and or another bigger role in the sport. Another example could be, when you do your homework you will not give up on the problem that you are stuck on, because you want to feel accomplished. You will get a good grade for it.

Student Success Statement
“Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence.
Talent: will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent.
Genius: will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb.
Education: will not; the world is full of educated derelicts.
Persistence and Determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan ‘press on’ has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.”

This quote is trying a message that says nobody will be successful just because you have talent. Talent is not going to take you anywhere in live. Being a genius is not going to help you as much, because you can be super smart but you also need to have common since. Education will help you because that is why when you are a miner children go to learn how it is to get a job so you can be prepared, but it doesn't help you as much as persistence and education. Persistence helps you because you don’t stop, you prove everyone that told you that you couldn't do it in life wrong. Determination also helps you because it allows you to do what you have to do in order to get what you want. It lets you complete your goals. And that’s the best feeling. “Never look to the ground for your next step. Greatness belongs to those who look to the horizon.”
Bud Greenspan
This quote is sending a message that says people who look forward know what they are going to see “the future” those people that look down don’t know what they are going to see, because they don’t know what they are going to expect. The reason why most people look down when they walk is because they are scared of what might happen when they look back up again, for example they might trip and fall. John F. Kennedy

This message that John F. Kennedy was trying to send was that we need to work out and be fitted because our life is to fragile and we should miss treat our bodies with just junk food. What I want to do to help my family and my self is stay in the sport I am in, which is swimming. Continue to get an A+ in my pe class (physical education). And when summer time starts I am going to be going to the park and exercise in the morning to stay fit. I also have a pool at my house so I want to exercise by doing laps in the pool. My goal is to eat healthy so I can fit into my 15 dress for my party. With this goal I am also helping myself by staying health.
Student Success Statement
“Physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body, It is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity. The relationship between the soundness of the body and the activities of the mind is subtle and complex. Much is not yet understood. But we do know what the geeks knew: that intelligence and skill can only function at the peak of their capacity when the body is healthy and strong.”
President John F. Kennedy

This quote is sending a message that say that not only do you need to be fit and active to be a healthy person, you can also be healthy by having knowledge. Having knowledge is a great way of being healthy, you need to stay fit as well. you can be healthy by having both. For example students that attend high school are healthy because they are getting an education so that goes for the knowledge. Student Success Statement
“No student ever attains eminent success by simply doing what is required of him/her; it is the amount and excellence of what is over and above the requirement that determines the greatness of ultimate distinction.”
Charles Kendall Adams, American Historian

This statement is sending a message that says that you shouldn't do what others tell you to do. for example you are doing your homework and you know that your teacher is the kind of teacher that loses students paper work, you want to be that student that does a copy of your homework so that if and when your teacher comes to you and says you didn't turn in the homework you have a copy, which means you don’t have to do it again. Most people don’t do copies and just get a bad grade, then don’t understand why others are passing. Do more than you need to, if you already know then why are you going to risk it.

Student Success Statement
“Doing what is right, fair and honorable is more important than winning or losing.”
Chick Moorman

This statement is sending a message that says you need to be a team player. For example if you are on a team, and your team plays a game and loses, you need to remember that a team that wins together, loses together. You can’t blame it on someone and say, we lost because you didn't try your hardest. Or if your team wins you can’t say that the team won cause you are on the team. That’s rude and so unfair. It can get your team mad, and nobody would want you to be on your team. Be a team player.

Student Success Statement
“Hold yourself responsible for a higher standard than anybody else expects of you. Never excuse yourself.”
Henry Ward Beecher

The message in this statement is don’t let others think of you that you can do things that you don’t want to do. For example if your mother wants you to be a doctor but your dream is to be a astronaut, then go for it. Don’t be something you don’t want to be. I’m sure your mom will be proud of you because at least you have a job. if people think of you of a low class person that you can only be a waiter your whole life. tell them off, show them that you can be something in this world. “you were given this life because you are strong enough to live it.” I look up to this quote because it has a point. Why else would you be here? Just to take up space? Uumm, no. you are meant to be someone. I’m not going to let anybody tell me what to be when I grow up or who I should be. It is my life and I am the only person who has the right to make the decisions I want to do. It is okay if people want to support you, but it should be support that doesn't stop you or support that wants to change your mind. it should be support that helps you

“ Goal setting is goal getting. Set and get.”
Mark Victor Hansen

This statement is trying to tell me that it is not a goal if you haven’t found what to do with it. Your goal needs to become something. Once you complete it or you are working on it, you willing to do things to complete your goal. You will feel regret if you don’t achieve it because you will feel like you didn't try or put enough effort into the goal. you will want to achieve you goal. who wouldn't?
